DENSITY

Artificial grass density is measured in ounces (oz), between 25 to 94 oz, and is one of the two main factors you should consider first when choosing synthetic turf (the second one is the pile height). The denser or higher oz the turf is, the better. But higher turf density also comes with an increase in cost. S Blade 50 has a density of 50 oz (face weight). This classifies S Blade 50 as professional face weight, making it ideal for commercial applications.

PILE HEIGHT

Landscape synthetic grass pile height starts at 1.25''. S Blade 50 pile height comes in at 1.62''. Anything relatively shorter in pile height is not considered professional and would not look or feel like natural grass. Due to the medium height of its blades, S Blade 50 provides an optimal pile height, making it more resilient to being flattened when compared to taller fibers; it also required less infill.

STABILITY & DRAINAGE

26 oz/yd² polypropylene backing offers extra strength, dimensional stability, and turf-lock within the system. With a perfect water run-off grade on a sub-base, S Blade 50 backing offers superior drainage - it drains much quicker than a natural lawn, so you will never see water puddles or standing water in a field of S Blade 50 artificial grass. Drainage is super important if you live in a state with long rainy periods or if you have dogs or other pets that use your lawn often.

Artificial Turf & Grass Infill Materials

Kiln Dry Silica sand is the most economical way of infill your artificial grass. It’s available in two sizes, 16 and 30 which are suitable for a wide variety of different types of faux grass applications. Smaller grains of 30 Silica Sand is applicable for putting greens while 16 Silica Sand is standard for landscape applications of any kind. It is synthetic grass sand specifically designed to be an artificial grass infill for nearly every form of synthetic turf application.

Most common infill. Works well in low traffic areas and helps blades stand up to look realistic and to remain stable.

WonderFill can be used to infill artificial grass lawns, putting greens and playgrounds and so much more. WonderFill has a special kind of coating, which includes Zinc Omadine ZOE Antimicrobial which helps prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew in your beautiful brand new synthetic turf installation. This infill is less abrasive than other infills due to its shape. It prevents damage to the blades and helps keep the turf standing upright.

Includes antimicrobial elements to help prevent the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew. Prevents damage to blades and helps keep turf standing upright.

Organic, natural and environmentally safe, ZeoLite is the best infill choice for pet areas. Made of 97% pure clinoptilolite, ZeoLite is the perfect infill for sports fields, residential and playground applications. Clinoptilolite zeolite is volcano ash that landed on water millions of years ago. It’s not the most well known but widely used as a gas absorber, a food additive, a water filter from drinking water, and an odor control agent.
